  29. A clip map cuts away part of an object and prevents it from being 
  30. rendered at all....while a transparency map just makes sections of 
  31. polygons transparent, but transparent polygons can still be visible 
  32. if you have specularity turned on.  Also, transparent objects take 
  33. much longer to render than clip-mapped objects.
